Country on Stage program The Netherlands

5 March 2019

The Netherlands is leading the way in innovation throughout the whole value chain, a position reinforced by close collaboration between industry, technology institutes and public authorities.

Key stakeholders in the Dutch composites’ ecosystem are specialists in cutting-edge applications, as well as innovations in materials, process automation and new products. Thermoplastic composites, 3D printing, end-to-end automation and digitalisation are other great examples of Dutch expertise in this field. Additionally, major fields of application developed by Dutch stakeholders are composites in infrastructure, the marine environment and sustainable composites. These innovations have been developed from fundamental research, through industrial development programmes, up to commercial production and maintenance.

Get to know more about the composites ecosystem in the Netherlands and its international outreach through representative business cases on automotive, aerospace, construction and 3D printing, involving the entire value chain of the Dutch Composites Sector.
