European Circular Composites Alliance meets in Brussels

On 4 December 2025, the first General Assembly of the European Circular Composites Alliance (ECCA) took place in Brussels — a milestone event in the drive to advance circularity in composite materials across Europe.
The meeting brought together over 100 stakeholders from industry, policy, and research. ECCA’s five Working Groups presented their action plans for 2026, addressing key sectors such as aerospace, transport, construction, and maritime applications. Dutch organisations actively contributed to discussions, particularly around port infrastructure for composite recycling.
The event underscored the growing momentum for circular solutions in the composites industry and highlighted the key role of the Netherlands in this European initiative. CompositesNL remains closely involved as a representative of the Dutch composites sector.
