Tree Composites B.V.

Tree Composites is a start-up from Delft, founded in 2020 to develop the wrapped composite joint. This TU-Delft innovation offers a superior alternative to complex welds by connecting large tubulars with composite materials. This breakthrough technology can be used to accelerate the fabrication of offshore wind turbine foundations, achieving steel savings of up to 60%.

With a dedicated team of 20 professionals, we are working towards market entry. Our ultimate goal is enabling large-scale production and delivery of composite joints for complete wind parks with all quality guarantees necessary for the rough offshore environment.

Our efforts to date include over 150+ composite joints, tested to demonstrate and de-risk our solution. We have also manufactured a full composite test platform for floating solar energy, showcasing our technology’s potential.
